Andy has an endless passion for all geospatial technology and has been in the surveying industry now for 15 years. After working as a surveyor on roading and runway construction in Queensland, whilst completing his geospatial degree by correspondence via USQ, Andy moved into a sales role in Melbourne Australia for C R Kennedy.
Specialising in terrestrial, mobile and airborne laser scanning, automated deformation monitoring systems and the early rise of drones for photogrammetry, he has been involved with cutting edge geospatial technology for many years. After 10 years in a sales role, he moved from Australia back to New Zealand to continue selling for a local supplier.
With a young daughter and the opportunity to work mostly from home growing an aerial business for Landpro, Andy shifted to his current role as aerial systems manager around 4 years ago. He now looks after the great team on the aerial side of the Landpro business which includes, client relations and pricing, processing problem solving and the R&D side of the business.
When he is not reading papers on new technology, Andy enjoys getting out and fishing our beautiful rivers and coastlines.
